Honey Bee's Appearance:
Honey bees are hairy and black with yellow strip on there back there about 1.3-1.6 cm in length.they have 2 wings to help them get around and a straw like mouth that they use when eating and collecting food and pollen for the bee hive.
Honey Bee Habits:
Bees play a very important role as pollinators of crops and wild flowers, The Honey bee can carry a load of pollen or nectar about the same weight as the bee, when the bees load is full, it returns to the hive and drops off the load to the worker bees inside the hive .This load is then passed from bee to bee through there mouth's this reduces the mosture from 70% to about 20% this process changes the necture into honey. The honey is then placed into cells and caped with bee's wax .The pollen that is collected is mixed with honey to make "Bee Bread" which is feed to the young bees or larve in the hive to insure that the hive grows fast and strong. When A bee hive is full the Queen produces another Queen and she leaves the bee nest with 1000's of worker bees to estabalish a new hive this is when you see bees swarming .The Swarming Bees gather around the Queen Bee and May rest on tree branch, fence, wall or any object until a suitable nesting place is found .This is when they could become a pest and establish a hive in wall cavaties or trees close to homes.

Honey Bees eat honey that they produce from nectar and Pollen which are small grains found on the flowers they are also know to eat other sweet foods that they may find eg.sugar

Intersting Facts About Bees:
